Taylor Swift is most definitely the sweetheart of the music world, but it seems the “Blank Space” singer might have a mean side to her after all. Tay-Tay previously spoke to Rolling Stone magazine about an arch nemesis within the music industry, who many presumed to be Katy Perry.
‘For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,’ the star revealed. ‘She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, “Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?”
‘Then last year, the other star crossed a line. She did something so horrible, I was like, “Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.”
‘It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.’
Never one to take an insult lying down, Katy Perry has apparently hit back at Taylor with an upcoming album titled 1984. Why is this significant? Any Taylor fan knows that her most recent, and highly successful album is named 1989, the year of her birth. We’re no rocket scientists, but we thinks we can put two and two together on this one, and if we’re being quite honest, we’re kind of loving it. Taylor definitely brought the drama with her most recent video for “Bad Blood”, which many implied was a major dig at Katy. One thing’s for sure, it seems this battle is about to get worse before it gets better. Stay tuned!
